Gary Loke's profile
Gary Loke is Head of Policy for Equality Challenge Unit.
Prior to joining ECU, Gary Loke worked at Independent Age as a Policy and Public Affairs Officer, developing policy positions on age-related issues and fostering strong working relationships with parliamentarians. Prior to that, he worked at a semi-rural race equality organisation on projects including minority ethnic people’s access to information and public services, racist incident reporting and capacity building of small minority ethnic and faith groups.
Alongside working on a range of projects connected to race, and religion and belief equality, Gary has responsibility for coordinating the work of, and providing strategic leadership to the ECU policy team.
He studied at the University of York and the School of Oriental and African Studies and holds a masters degree in Development Studies.
