Stephanie Neave

Stephanie Neave joined Equality Challenge Unit in September 2011 as the Research and Data Officer and assists the unit's policy initiatives and activities, including the ECU statistical and annual sector reports.

Prior to working at ECU, Stephanie was the Social Policy Research and Projects Officer at the National Union of Students (NUS), where she led on a Home Office funded research project into the extent and nature of hate crime amongst students across the UK. In addition to this work, she provided support in a range of student welfare and equality and diversity projects, including research into the black and minority ethnic degree attainment gap and violence against women students. Before joining NUS, she worked at an environmental non-profit organisation in California. She has also spent time in Nicaragua as a volunteer for the Foundation of Sustainable Development, assisting in an environmental sustainability project.

Stephanie graduated from the University of California, Berkeley, with a B.Sc. in Environmental Sciences, Policy, and Management and a B.A. in Political Science. She also holds a Public Policy minor from the Goldman School of Public Policy.
