Age: our work
ECU continues to support the sector in meeting the challenge of tackling age inequalities and discrimination
ECU produces updates and briefings for the sector on age issues, including the legislative developments on mandatory retirement and any positive duties that may arise with the introduction of the Equality Bill.
Our approach to work on age diversity is informed by our involvement in the Developing good practice in managing age diversity in the HE sector project, set up by the Centre for Diversity Policy Research and Practice at Oxford Brookes University. This project commissioned extensive research into age-related issues in higher education.
