- Providing strategic and operational leadership on sexual orientation projects and religion and belief initiatives, including consideration of the interplay between these characteristics
- Working with the policy team on projects across different protected characteristics
- Responding
effectively and swiftly to internal and external enquiries from higher
education institutions especially in relation to religion and belief and
sexual orientation
- Preparing and undertaking presentations and facilitating workshops within the higher education sector, and externally
- Preparing policy papers, briefing notes, guidance and consultation responses and other documents
- Representing ECU on stakeholder forums and advisory groups and provide expert equality and diversity input
We are looking for applicants with a first degree or equivalent and a
good knowledge of equality legislation and practice and related issues.
Applicants will be required to demonstrate experience of policy
analysis on equality and diversity issues at a strategic level within the HE sector, strong
communication skills and the ability to commission and manage external
consultants.
