New equality legislation, a more complex equality landscape and the demands of rapid demographic changes face higher education. The sector must act now to make real headway in realising the potential of all students and staff.

ECU's major two-day national conference brings together vice-chancellors, senior managers, governors, human resources directors, managers of student services and students' unions, equality and diversity specialists and academics.

From religion on campus to the equality implications of funding cuts, the packed agenda allows delegates to grapple with the challenges that lie ahead.
