Application and transition to higher education: reflection, change and looking forward
SPA national conference addressing current issues and good practice in admissions
This SPA conference will explore and reflect on policy throughout the UK and the impact recent decisions have had upon admissions to higher education; while also giving participants the opportunity to share good practice and update their knowledge and skills. It will seek to highlight areas of good practice whilst focusing on the principles of professionalism, transparency and fairness, as well as generating comment and debate on proposed changes and current issues surrounding the admissions, recruitment and widening inclusion landscape.
Plenary sessions will cover the applicant experience and QAA enhancement themes along with the strategic place of admissions in the current political landscape. Workshops will look at topical issues surrounding admissions to HE including;

The conference is targeted to attract staff at all levels of HE, including those working in admissions, widening inclusion and recruitment.
