An afternoon workshop with guest speakers to explore the Athena SWAN awards process

The workshop is for universities wishing to submit for an Athena SWAN Award in 2009 to help them understand what the judging panel is looking for, exchange good practice and network with other Charter members.

  • Preparing for bronze - Professor Avril Macdonald, University of Reading
  • What the judges are looking for - Professor Barbara Hodgson, Open University
  • Revealing gender equality statistics - Professor Katharine Perera, University of Manchester
  • How the UKRC can support Athena SWAN applications - Jane Clarke, UK Resource Centre for Women in Science, Engineering and Technology (UKRC)
