Improving performance through wellbeing and engagement in challenging times
In 2010 higher education institutions are facing challenging times. Staff performance will be essential to success in navigating high levels of change. How will your institution support your staff to maintain motivation and engagement under difficult circumstances? How will you motivate employees to maximum performance?
This essential one-day conference will explore how higher education institutions can use effective change management, employee engagement and wellbeing to safeguard the health of both their institution and employees and emerge from change as resilient, healthy organisations.
Focusing on some of the key aspects of change management, the conference will bring together expert speakers from inside and outside the sector to provide valuable insights and practical case studies including:
- what is the role of leaders and management?
- the vice-chancellor's perspective
- what is the business case for employee engagement and how does this fit with the government agenda?
- how can change impact on equality and diversity?
- developing a partnership approach to change management
- effective internal communications during change
You will also have the opportunity to hear the latest evidence as part of the government commissioned report, Engaging for success: enhancing performance through employee engagement, explore practical case studies, take part in workshops to improve your own practice, network and share experiences with over 200 delegates from UK HEIs.
