Race equality in higher education: achievements, future challenges and possible solutions

A conference for students, staff and academics held by the University of Oxford

A half-day conference and workshops to support understanding and thinking in the area of race equality. The aims of the conference are to:

  • debate the subject of race equality and the challenges facing the sector
  • raise awareness of race equality and bring people together for constructive solutions
  • understand the experiences of black and minority ethnic staff and students within higher education
  • provide an opportunity to network

The keynote address will be delivered by Afua Hirsch, alumna and legal affairs correspondent at The Guardian, and Dr Gurnam Singh, principal lecturer from Coventry University.

The day will also include employer stalls and career information.

Cost for staff is £50, students can attend for free.
