ECU strategy 2017-2021: online consultation
ECU are pleased to invite you to take part in a consultation on ECU’s new strategic plan 2017-21.
Why are we consulting?
We believe that our work is enriched through your feedback and input. This online consultation aims to build dialogue on our work and strategic direction.
Our priority in developing a new five year strategy is to understand the equality challenges you anticipate facing beyond the end of this year and build a robust and relevant plan for supporting you through this period.
We also believe it is important that we explain our mission and objectives clearly so you understand our direction and the decisions we make.
How to take part
The online consultation is open until 8 September 2016.
In addition to the online consultation, we held a strategy event in London. The session was led by ECU’s Chief Executive, David Ruebain, and took the form of a round table discussion.
How will we use the results?
The results of this consultation will be used to develop and refine our strategic plan and objectives.
We are consulting now to ensure that we have time to consider and reflect on your feedback. There are also a number of other stages the strategy will go through before a final version is published in November.
- July 2016 – ECU board considers draft
- August – September 2016 – Online consultation open until 8 September
- August 2016 – Strategy round table event in London
- October 2016 – ECU board ratifies new strategy
We will publish a summary of the responses to this consultation in October 2016. This will be sent to all participants and published in our two newsletters, Equalitylink and Memberlink.
