Athena SWAN funding statement
ECU and UKRC confirm commitment to continued development of charter supporting women in SET
The Athena SWAN charter for women in science is supported by Equality Challenge Unit and UKRC, the UK Resource Centre for Women in Science, engineering and technology.
The Department for Business, Innovation and Skills has confirmed that it will cease funding the UKRC from April 2011 (BIS statement on the allocation of science and research funding 2011/12-2012/15).
Equality Challenge Unit and the UKRC are fully committed to the continued development and success of Athena SWAN. We can confirm that the April and November 2011 Athena SWAN awards rounds will continue as planned. We are actively seeking alternative funding sources from 2012.
