Deadline for publishing data changed

The government has announced that the draft regulations for the public sector equality duty for England (posted on 12 January) have since been amended. Higher education institutions are now covered in Schedule 1.

This means that the deadline for the publication of data is now no later than 31 July 2011. The regulations previously stated that the deadline was 31 December 2011.

The government will be finalising the draft regulations for the specific duties and laying them before parliament for debate in late January 2011.
