New Chair for ECU
Professor Stuart Croft, Vice-chancellor and President of University of Warwick, to succeed Professor Janet Beer, Vice-chancellor of Liverpool University, as chair of the board of trustees of ECU.
Equality Challenge Unit (ECU) is delighted to announce that Professor Stuart Croft, Vice-chancellor and President of University of Warwick, will succeed Professor Janet Beer, Vice-chancellor of Liverpool University, as chair of the board of trustees of ECU, the further and higher education equality body for the UK.
Professor Croft, who is also one of the current GuildHE/Universities UK nominee on the board, will be formally appointed as chair on Thursday 6 July 2017, when Professor Beer steps down.
David Ruebain, chief executive of ECU, said:
‘I would like to thank Professor Beer for her fantastic support and leadership in chairing ECU over the last six years through significant changes both for ECU and the wider higher education landscape.’

Professor Stuart Croft, Vice-chancellor and President of University of Warwick and current GuildHE/Universities UK nominee, said:

Prof Janet Beer, Vice-chancellor of University of Liverpool, said:
