Scottish specific duties passed by parliament
Regulations for Scotland come into force 27 May 2012
The Scottish government Equality Unit announced today (25 May 2012) that the Equality Act 2012 (Specific Duties) (Scotland) Regulations 2012 have been approved by the Scottish parliament.
The regulations will come into force on 27 May 2012.

ECU will publish a briefing outlining the requirements of the duties and implications for higher education institutions and colleges to complement the Equality and Human Rights Commission Scotland guidance in June.
