ECU works with further and higher education providers in Scotland
- ECU works to further and support equality and diversity for staff and students in higher education and in colleges in Scotland. Alongside funding for ECU's UK wide work and projects, the Scottish Funding Council funds ECU to deliver work and projects specifically for higher education institutions (HEIs) and for colleges in Scotland.
Collaboration with College Development Network
ECU works closely with College Development Network, the umbrella organisation which exists to support, represent and promote Scotland's colleges, to engage with colleges in Scotland and share information and good practice relating to equality.
Liaison groups
ECU runs a Scottish liaison group involving equality and diversity practitioners and relevant others for each sector.

Work is developed in consultation with the sectors via the liaison groups.

Joint sector work
Recent activities in Scotland
- ECU presented a workshop at NUS Scotland's event 'liberating the curriculum' on 12 February 2013.
- ECU ran a workshop at the EHRC event 'Understanding Discrimination Law in Further and Higher Education' in Edinburgh on 21 February 2013.
- ECU gave a plenary session and offered two workshops at the Scottish Funding Council's annual Learning for All conference at Glasgow Caledonian University on 17 April 2013. The plenary was entitled 'Building equality into access and inclusion' while the workshop sessions concentrated on meeting the Equality Act through outcome agreements for HEIs and colleges.
