A statistical overview of equality challenges in higher education
This report, based on the 2006/7 Higher Education Statistics Agency data set, presents a selection of statistics relating to gender, race, disability and age, covering figures for staff, students and institutional group profiles.
This report will serve as an evidence base from which the sector can develop a shared understanding of the specific challenges in furthering equality and diversity for all staff and students.
ECU will be undertaking a similar analysis in future years, using this first report as a baseline to monitor the progress of equality and diversity throughout the sector.
