Providing a synopsis of research-based literature on the experiences of black and minority ethnic staff in higher education

A literature review identifying baseline data and providing a synopsis of research-based literature on the experiences of black and minority ethnic (BME) staff in higher education.

This literature review was commissioned by ECU as the first stage in building an evidence base on the position and experiences of BME staff working in higher education. By providing an understanding of previous research and gaps in the evidence currently available, the review will help shape the future direction of ECU's Race Forum project designed to research and develop initiatives to address issues affecting BME staff in the sector.
