Gender equality gold for Scotland
The University of Glasgow’s Institute of Health and Wellbeing has been awarded an Athena SWAN department gold award, recognising its commitment to gender equality. The institute joins an exclusive group of 11 Athena SWAN department gold award holders, while St George’s, University of London, joins 13 other universities in achieving an institution silver award.
Race equality award for Oxford University and De Montfort University
The University of Oxford is the newest Race Equality Charter bronze award holder. De Montfort University was also successful in renewing a bronze award in the February 2018 submission round and is one of 10 Race Equality Charter bronze award holders.

Achieving race equality in higher education two-day workshop
This Advance HE course has been designed to support individuals who are leading race equality work in their institutions to strengthen their understanding of race equality and develop the skills for effective culture change. Training is available in June and July or November and December 2018.
