Register your interest in observing an Athena SWAN panel
Observing an Athena SWAN panel can help provide a good insight into the process, as well as pick up good practice and hints and tips from the discussion of applications by experienced reviewers. Athena SWAN observers are provided with the same documentation as panellists but do not take part in the discussions or decision making. They can be invited to give their views and opinions on the applications once the final decision has been made.
Panels take place at the Advance HE offices or the MRC conference centre, both of which are in Central London. Advance HE will contribute up to £50 towards observers’ travel expenses.
To register your interest in becoming a panellist you must:
- Complete the registration form below
- Upload a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) form (located on the right hand side of this page)
- Complete a Declaration of Conflicts Interest form. This allows us to ascertain any conflicts of interest you may have (you will be directed to this page on submission of the below form).
Unfortunately, each awards round the Charters team have more requests to observe panels than there are spaces available and are therefore unable to fulfil all requests. Once you have observed a panel your name will be removed from our requested to observe records.
