Festival of Learning 5th June 2018- Presentation from the day
5th June 2018, a conclusion to the Attracting Diversity Project - held at Dynamic Earth.
5th June 2018
The work leading to the Festival of Learning….
Between 2015 and 2018 twenty two Scottish colleges and universities have taken part in ECU’s Attracting Diversity project. Undertaking research and data analysis to understand the specific barriers faced by disadvantaged or underrepresented groups, each institution assembled a project team and designed an innovative plan of action to test out new approaches to tackle barriers to access. The Attracting Diversity Festival of Learning will showcase the innovation, learning and progress made by participating institutions. In celebrating the Attracting Diversity project we hope to inspire the sector to take forward positive action initiatives to address under-representation and disadvantage across protected characteristics.

This event was open to stakeholders interested in improving equality and diversity in student recruitment and access to further and higher education institutions, including policy makers, senior managers, equality and diversity practitioners, widening access practitioners, academics, students, and sector agencies.
We were delighted to be holding the Festival of Learning at one of the top attractions in Edinburgh, Dynamic Earth, the perfect space to showcase the work from the Attracting Diversity Project as well as networking with those involved.
The day was a huge success, enjoyed by many representatives from across the further and higher education sector. To see the presentation from the day click below.
