ECU’s comment on new NUS report
Our response to ‘Student perspectives on international students’
This report, capturing the voices of 4600 students, provides a range of useful information about how UK domiciled students interact with and learn from their international peers in university life.
Relationships are being forged in the classroom, through sports and extra-curricular activities, and within halls of residence. It is clear that diversity of backgrounds, experiences, and viewpoints are valued highly by UK students in their learning environments.
During a period of uncertainty and anxiety around student mobility, Equality Challenge Unit will continue to:
- support institutions to provide inclusive environments for all students
- communicate to government and policy makers the value of diversity within student populations
- champion race equality though our Race Equality Charter
