Getting started with the Race Equality Charter
Once your institution has made the decision to become a member of the Race Equality Charter (REC) it can be daunting to know how to begin. This session guides you through the process.
This session can be adapted to work with an equality and diversity manager or team, or with a wider group, for example your self-assessment team (depending on what stage you are at).
On the day
The workshop will guide you through:
- The race equality charter process, timelines and resource implications
- Each section of the application, what the national trends are, and approaches to take to tackling any identified racial inequalities
- Next steps for breaking the process down and making it manageable
ECU recommends that the workshop is delivered as a whole-day session, but it can be adapted to suit your timings.
The maximum number of participants for this session is 20
