Good relations in higher and further education
This workshop equips delegates with the knowledge and skills to identify and manage tensions that may destabilise relations between different groups and develop strategies for promoting good relations.
This workshop is suitable for all staff working in a higher education setting.
On the day
Through group discussions and practical exercises participants will:
- explore the legal framework within which higher education institutions manage their responsibility to promote good relations
- consider their own response to a range of good relations issues and to deepen their understanding of ways to navigate the complexities of deeply held values and beliefs
- discuss short, medium and long-term strategies for managing and promoting good relations
- develop practical skills through applying strategies to a range of scenarios based on real situations
The workshop is delivered as a half-day session.
The maximum number of participants for this session is 25.
