Thinking like a Charter Panellist

Participating in a review panel is one of the best ways to build understanding of ECU’s equality charters – this session seeks to share this experience beyond the panel setting, so that attendees can begin to “think like a panellist” and utilise this insight in their self-assessment process and development of a charter submission.

Participating in a review panel is one of the best ways to build an understanding of ECU’s equality charters – this group session seeks to share this experience beyond the panel setting so that attendees can begin to “think like a panellist” and utilise this insight in their self-assessment process and development of a charter submission.

The session will include:

  • overview of the review process and the different roles on a panel
  • what a panel is looking for in an application
  • exploration of the review process with a ‘mock panel’
  • There will also be the opportunity to ask questions relating directly to your institution, plan your institution’s future work and share ideas with other higher education institutions (HEIs).

The workshop will be held in London in July 2018 from 11.00am until 4.00pm, with registration from 10.30am.

This will be a group consultancy event for subscribing institutions and Scottish and Welsh HEIs participating in the charters, Three representatives are invited to attend free of charge as part of their 2018 consultancy option. 21 places are available.

Institutions that have already claimed their 2018 consultancy can contact ECU to purchase a limited number of options for a fee, dependent on availability, and can contact the ECU office at ecu@ecu.ac.uk to find out more.
